The Indian and African Entrepreneurship sectors are flourishing and exhibiting great improvements each year. The India Africa Entrepreneurship Forum aims to be the platform that forges a meaningful connection between the start-up spheres of these two regions. It believes that such a connection would encourage the forging of joint ventures and collaborations among entrepreneurs to solve common problems, which would be immensely profitable for both economies. In an effort to make this possible IEAF has organised the second edition of its India Africa Entrepreneurship and Investment Summit. One of the companies that has come forward and sponsored this event is 'Mauritius-Africa Fund'.

The Mauritius-Africa Fund spearheads Mauritian investment in Africa. By taking an active participation in the development of integrated projects – including Special Economic Zones, Technology Parks, Logistics Parks, Agro-industrial Parks, seafood, etc. – in selected African countries under a Government-to-Government framework, MAF has positioned itself as a prominent stakeholder in the industrialization of Africa. Furthermore, one of the key objectives of the Fund is to lead the internationalization of Mauritian enterprises onto continental Africa through a multi-pronged approach. This involves, inter alia, the forging of more joint ventures between Mauritian and international businesses as well as co-investing in high-growth sectors relevant to the continent’s economic and social upswing.

The Mauritius-Africa Fund is also using its clout as an apex institution operating under the aegis of the Government of Mauritius to attract multilateral agencies, international development partners and institutional as well as private investors to participate in a gamut of financing instruments set up under the Fund ranging from Africa-focused private equity to insurance and trade facilitation.

The Indian African Entrepreneurship and Investment Summit will be an opportunity for investors and entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities available in both regions. It will take place at the Sarova Panafric Hotel in Nairobi on the 1st and 2nd of July. A suite of programming that is accessible to entrepreneurs and includes events, delegations, training, collaborative business incubation, and bilateral funds will be featured in the event and web conferencing facilities will be made accessible as and when needed.
